The Dhol Foundation is both a dhol drum institute in London and a musical group playing bhangra music. The dhol school was founded in 1989 by former Alaap member Johnny Kalsi when several musicians asked him to be their teacher, and a first album was released by Kalsi and his students in 2001 .They have had their music in Hollywood films such as Gangs of New York and Incredible Hulk also have done work on soundtracks with Peter Gabriel on films such as Rabbit-Proof Fence and The Last Temptation of Christ. They opened the Commonwealth Games in Melbourne.

Although having worked within a number of constellations during her career including, Charles Tolliver’s Big Band, she has primarily focused on her own ensembles.

In 2015, Kerri also released a remix of her song “You” produced by Oliver Nelson. The remix gained over 1.5 million plays online and hit the Number 1 spot on Hype Machine. In March 2016, Kerri had more success with her follow-up single “The Wild” which was also added to the BBC Radio 2 B Playlist where it stayed for a month. While promoting the single, she toured the UK visiting over 20 radio stations and made a live appearance on STV’s Live At Five in Glasgow on March 22 2016.
